Nugget, I just heard word of your pending arrival and I'm so excited for your mommy that I can't go back to sleep! I also realized that I had never written my letter to you and I wanted to get that done before you arrive!
I will never forget the excitement I felt for your mommy when she called to tell me she was pregnant. You see, at that time I was weeks away from having my first baby, too. I was excited we were going to have babies so close in age. Your mommy and I have been friends for nearly 15 years now, so for us to share this wonderful experience of motherhood is pretty cool.
Nugget, you are so loved already. You are blessed to have an awesome mommy and daddy who will love you to pieces. They are 2 of the funniest people I've ever met. You will come by your sense of humor honestly. They are also wonderfully caring, good, loyal friends who will do anything to help someone in a time of need.
You are going to be so loved by so many people other than your biological family. There are those that you will see everyday and those that you may not see as often as you'd like (take us, for example!). Always know that you have a tremendous support system both near and far. I pray that you are a strong individual. Not in the way of big muscles, but in the way of character. I pray that you grow to love your family and friends the way your mommy and daddy do.
Nugget, I pray that you are easy on your mommy and daddy these first few months! (well, throughout life, actually!)
Nugget, I cannot wait to meet you. I can't wait to see you and Vivian running around together someday. I know we may not get to see you as often as we'd like, but we will be there in spirit.
