31 weeks....

Let the countdown begin! In no more than 8-9 weeks, we get to see your
face and meet our child. Well, I went to the doctor today, and fir
those of you who put that Nugget will be here after te due date, no
dice. There are a couple of considerations with the diabetes, that
when coupled with my size has my doctor saying we will induce if Nugs
doesn't join us by my due date. The only real upside of this diabetes
stuff is that I get another ultrasound next visit! If Nugs continues
to measure large, it is likely that we will be having a cesarean. I'm
not excited about the idea of a Cesarean, but you know what they
say...if you wanna make God laugh, tell him what you have planned. I
asked if there was the likelihood of inducing earlier, an she said no,
due to wanting to ensure that Nugs has nicely developed lungs.

Jeff and I spent time getting started on Nugs room. Pic below. It's
just a start, but you can see how we are trending. Hopefully, Nugs
loves it!

I'm really nervous about what I don't know- when do you use baby oil
or powder? How do you care for the belly stump? If it's a boy, what
don't I know? Help! I'm overwhelmed!!!!

  1. Those are easy concerns! Boy parts are daddy's job in our neck of the woods! Belly button thing requires alcohol on it and nothing more. I never figured out baby oil OR baby powder (unless my hair is really dirty one day and I don't have time to take a shower).

  5. Don't worry about if it's a boy... all you need to know is that they now make a wonderfully creepy invention known as the "pee-pee tee-pee" that covers little man's twig and berries while you change the diaper so he won't pee on you... they definitely didn't have that one when my youngest was born -- learned the hard way! You guys will be phenomenal parents!!
