Not sure if it is my age or the fact I had gotten so out of shape
before I found out I was pregnant, but today after two rounds of
glucose tests, I found out I have gestational diabetes.
On Monday, daddy and I are going to meet with a counselor to Learn
what to eat and what not to eat and how to use a glucometer. I was
scared at first. I didn't know what this all means. I can't say I'm
not scared now, but I can tell you that I will work hard to protect
you from as much from here on as I can.
On Sunday, I am going to a breastfeeding class at the hospital. I want
to do everything I can to ensure you get a good start. I hope that by
making the needed adjustment in diet that I will feel more energetic
and stop getting sick in the mornings.
Your baby bedding came in this past week and it is so cute! I can't
wait to show you your room. It's nice and close to mommy and daddy.
Tonight, you did the cutest thing! Daddy was talking to you and asked
if you if he should go study, and you kicked him in the head in a way
that we interpreted as YES!
