Week 25

Well, we closed on our house today. This is the house that you will
come home to, will take your first steps in, speak your first words,
etc. This is your home, and as such has a higher likelihood of
becoming my home. It's funny how home feels. This past weekend we went
to my parents house. I moved into this house at the age of 4. It is
home. I love the smells, never flinch at the sounds, and sleep better
there than I do anywhere. These are the people that I never have to
mind my manners in front of, never have to worry about etiquette
with, and who care about me without expectations. I will never do
enough to deserve the feeling I get when I go home. It wasn't always
that way. I spent many years self absorbed, independent, and somewhat
taking it all for granted. This is home, Nugget, and Daddy and I are
preparing yours now.

You've been moving a lot these days. I can even see your movement from
the outside! It's a little alienish (pardon the pop culture reference
that is way older than you are). Other than that I'm feeling good, am
growing daily, and wonder where all the extra space is going to come
from that you will need to grow in.

Last night, daddy and I read some of the Girlfriends Guide to the
first year that we got from Alanna. Needless to say, we were stunned
about what my body is going to go through after the pregnancy part. I
was ill-prepared. I'll save these stories, but when you get ready to
start your family, we will have a candid conversation.

Well, that's enough for this week. Mommy loves you!
