Sassy!

> Hi love! Long time since my last entry, huh? Well, baby girl, you are keeping us busy. Here's what's happening with you!
>
> In your class, they comment often on your smarts. You can count to 20 at 2.5! I don't know when you are supposed to do that, but seems early to me. You know your shapes and colors, and even sing the abc song and The Wheels on the Bus! You potty everywhere but home! The other day, you made a pirate face and said, "arrr." When asked what a horse says, you say, "hey! I'm a horse!" Lord, you make me smile. At night, I ask you questions, and you ask me some. The other night, you asked me what an A makes. I said apple, and you would say, "oh," and move on to the next letter. For the last two weeks, you have told us that Nicholas bit you, but I assume that happened two weeks ago. I sure hope that isn't a grudge holder in the making. Poor Nicholas.
>
> Each night before you go to bed, we say, "Heavenly Father, help us be who you want us to be. Be with those in need. Thank you for this beautiful day. In your name we pray, Amen."
>
> I want you to remember that prayer. I tried to come up with a simple way to reinforce that we look to God for guidance, pray for others, and show gratitude for every gifted day, even if it's hard to see the inherent gift of that day.
>
> Daddy and Mommy are still trudging along with the work. We alternate late nights and work hard to make sure you aren't worse for the wear. We believe that we can work like no one else now and live like no one else in the future.
>
> You are so sweet, funny, and starting to get bossy. I was changing your sheets the other day, and you said something like, "mommy, no touch emmy's bed, ok? Ok?" Well, alright then. Of course, I kept going, because you will realize that you are not the mommy, and I will be there to keep that in check.
>
> At the same time, you ask for hugs, and want to be rocked and cuddle in my lap. I love you more than you could ever know.
> Love, Mom
